BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Bunkie is a prefab designer and manufacturer based around the Toronto area in
Ontario, Canada. Bunkie models are best known for their tiny spaces that pack a
ton of features. What makes bunkies special are their limited square footages,
which are designed intentionally to avoid the hassle of building permits. By
keeping the size under 108 square feet, within almost any region across Canada
and the US, you can erect a structure without a building permit. 

NUMBER OF MODELS AVAILABLE

There are 7 Bunkie models (plus additional size upgrades) available that range
from 97 to 200 square feet. The base price of a Bunkie ranges from $19,000 -
$51,000.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

Bunkie’s base price includes the ADU model without upgrades, installation, site
work, or permitting. One benefit of choosing a Bunkie model that is smaller than
108 square feet is that it won’t require any permits to build. 

DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS

Bunkie’s models are characterized by their small size, shed roof, and large
glass walls. They are extremely compact and have a ton of features and upgrades.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

Full interior and exterior customization options are available for Bunkie
models. 

WILL THEY ASSIST IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS?

The Bunkie requires installation. You can get our Bunkie installers or your own
contractor to install the Bunkie.

The Bunkie is prefabricated, flat packed, and shipped on standard-width pallets
via delivery truck. For example, a 26' rental truck can fit a typical Bunkie kit
(a 2nd trip may be required depending on options).

WHERE DO I GO TO DEAL WITH THE PAPERWORK AND PERMITS NEEDED?

At 97 to 106 square feet (and 97 to 200 square feet in certain U.S. areas), all
Bunkie models have been designed specifically to avoid the requirement for a
building permit. Local zoning bylaws can still have precedence. Bunkie advises
all clients to check with their local zoning bylaws.

WHERE DO THEY SHIP TO?

The Bunkie can be shipped worldwide. There is no duty or sales tax when being
shipped to the United States.


PROCESS LENGTH

The process length for ordering a Bunkie to delivery takes 5-8 weeks.
Installation after your Bunkie is shipped will take 3-5 days.
